Each manufacturing location has the necessary equipment to proceed with day-to-day testing activity, ensuring that our packaging solutions comply with international standards like for example ISO, UN.
In addition, International Paper has central laboratory facilities available in each country to help our innovation teams and customers define and test the best packaging solution both in terms of structural design and board composition. For instance, humid storage conditions can be reliably reproduced in our climatic chambers, and dynamic testing techniques are used for the simulation of road transportation.
A theoretical approach is also part of our laboratory testing methods. In order to quickly estimate packaging performances under various supply chain conditions, International Paper has developed a in-house specific software called MasterPack™ that compiles decades of experience in this subject.
