National Fish and Wildlife Foundation

International Paper’s conservation relationship with the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation, known as Forestland Stewards, is an innovative public-private collaboration that serves as an outstanding model for landscape-scale conservation. By combining financial and technical resources, International Paper and NFWF are able to restore native forests, strengthen important fish and wildlife populations, and protect watersheds — while at the same time promoting and supporting working forests.

International Paper matches employee donations by 60 cents on the dollar. In addition to financial pledges, employee volunteers participate in a variety of United Way Days of Caring projects.

Global Collaborations

IPGiving_GFN

The Global FoodBanking Network

International Paper is working with The Global FoodBanking Network (GFN) to expand child-focused programming to feed food insecure and undernourished children in Brazil, Canada, Poland, and Spain. In just one year, funding is expected to provide more than 2.4 million pounds of surplus food to more than 100,000 hungry and malnourished children so they can start their day prepared to learn and thrive.

TNC_ipgiving_

The Nature Conservancy

International Paper provides support for The Nature Conservancy (TNC), a collaborative, science-based non-governmental organization that works to conserve the lands and waters on which all life depends. Support from IP is making several of TNC’s forest sustainability, water stewardship and responsible sourcing projects possible, including a global project focused on reduced-impact logging for carbon (RIL-C) in Indonesia and Gabon.

WWF_ipgiving

World Wildlife Fund

International Paper supports World Wildlife Fund’s (WWF) initiative to advance the concept of science-based targets that will identify what quantity and quality of forest land is needed globally and regionally to ensure forests provide people, plants and animals with the clean air and water, food, and other services they need to thrive. Our support is also enabling a restoration project in the Mogi Guaçu river basin in Brazil. Learn more about our collaborations with WWF here.
