Lee Pittman

Senior Regional Government Relations Manager

Pittman_2019Lee Pittman is regional government relations manager for International Paper. Based in Little Rock, Ark., Pittman is responsible for tracking and reporting on government, public and community affairs in Arkansas, Louisiana, Texas and Oklahoma.

Pittman joined International Paper in 1998 after 10 years of involvement in government affairs activities and Arkansas politics. Prior to joining International Paper, he served as vice president for government affairs for the Arkansas State Chamber of Commerce and Associated Industries of Arkansas, the state's leading business lobbying organization. In that position, he was responsible for managing the organization's legislative and regulatory activities while concentrating on labor, employee insurance benefits and taxation issues.

Before joining ASCC-AIA, Pittman served as an administrative side to U.S. Sen. David Pryor (D-AR). His responsibilities for Sen. Pryor included working on issues involving the Internal Revenue Service, and military and veterans' affairs issues. Pittman also worked as an assistant to Betsey Wright at the Democratic Party of Arkansas before joining Sen. Pryor's staff.

Pittman earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Hendrix College.
