The Account Executive is responsible for proactively managing customer accounts through the utilization of the supply chain processes, technologies, and tools and making tactical and strategic decisions regarding those accounts on a daily basis.  The account executives develop and maintain customer, sales, supply chain and manufacturing relationships through superior service and communication.

Fiber Supply Associates (FSA) are responsible for the purchase and delivery of fiber products to a paper mill, including pulpwood, chips, recycled fiber, and fiber fuel (biomass). The FSA supports Fiber Specialists in raw materials acquisition, harvesting, logistics coordination, contract negotiations, and inventory management. FSAs may also oversee relationships with vendors to insure compliance with contracts and company policies and procedures, including financial, safety, and environmental performance.

The Global Sourcing Associate (GSA) Program is an entry-level program with a procurement operations focus. It is designed to give associates exposure to International Paper’s procurement strategy and purchasing processes. This begins with the strategic level elements and concludes with the implementation and sustain phase at the manufacturing locations. Our GSA’s start their careers working in a development role at a mill. During this time, they build and establish a baseline knowledge of the pulp and paper manufacturing processes and of the integrated supply chain that is in place to support the mill’s operations. The training period is spent carrying out a variety of purchasing related assignments at the mill. GSAs also pursue formal course work and training with certification in lean manufacturing processes and tools.

Process Specialists provide problem resolution for IP’s entire supply chain operating model. The scope of support includes order management, planning and scheduling, manufacturing, deliver, source and export processes. These specialists rotate support assignments on a regular basis and may have the opportunity to participate on special projects. The position presents a challenging and unique opportunity to develop knowledge of a wide breadth of supply chain processes, applications and organizations. A Replenishment Planner’s purpose is to satisfy customer requirements by managing finished goods and work-in-process inventories at our manufacturing facilities and distribution centers.  This requires managing data and forecast, monitoring existing inventory, understanding consumption trends and lead time factors, coordinating production and deployment for production facilities and distribution centers.

A Supply Planner’s purpose is to satisfy customer requirements by managing block schedules and the finite production sequencing of inventory replenishments and customer orders. This requires the management of production capacity while making adjustment for changing customer demands and operation constraints.

The Transportation Planner has responsibility for creating shipment plans to meet on time delivery. The individuals selected for this position will be utilizing SAP technology and processes in a centralized environment for facilities to achieve results in transportation.    

The Transportation Planner performs shipment planning and management functions for freight originating at assigned IP facilities. The daily responsibilities involve actively managing the open orders and providing timely shipments for execution at each facility.  Planners will use computerized decision support tools to develop and execute daily shipment plans utilizing system generated tenders. In this role, the planner will effectively analyze freight consolidation and optimization, mode selection, carrier selection and continuous move techniques to meet service requirements at minimum cost.
