Possible Career Paths

No two Finance career paths are the same at International Paper. Entry-level finance opportunities may include:

Finance FORUM

Analyst

Participates in general ledger, forecasting, budgeting, accounts payable, fixed assets, capital, payroll, reporting and monthly/quarterly/yearly closing, research and investigation, and regulatory compliance
Provides support of financial analysis including interpretation and application of professional standards, company policies and processes
Investigates, reviews and evaluates various financial transactions
Prepares journal vouchers and participates in month-end close
Handles customer service issues that require in-depth analysis and/or high degree of interpersonal and organizational sensitivity
Performs data entry and utilizes systems as a source of research analysis
Participates in periodic self-review audits of account reconciliations and journal vouchers
Assists and supports the businesses by providing routine and ad hoc analytical support as needed

Auditor

Responsible for conducting and documenting moderately complex audit projects
Assists with the testing of internal controls and drafts audit reports by identifying and gathering support for potential opportunities for internal control, and as appropriate, operational improvements. Prepares findings for applicable management.
Assists with education of management teams on company policies, procedures and internal control concepts
Maintains strong working relationships with customers and external auditors
Identifies profit improvement opportunities

Your Job is to Help Us Move Forward

We are looking for students completing a Bachelor's or Master's in Accounting, Data Analytics, Economics, Finance, International Business or related field with:

3.0 or greater GPA
Desire to learn and grow
High proficiency in Microsoft^® Office products
Strong problem solving, analytical, communication and leadership skills
Willingness to relocate
Age 18 or older
